That would be an invalid experiment because you are excluding David's explanation of what he said. It was offensive to you after you read it. But after David explained himself you rejected his explanation. Take him at his word. Believe that he meant it as an honest question so that he could better understand where you were coming from. Iron sharpens iron. And I am sure that hurts when it is done. I have felt it.
