jt: Then why do you continue to feed comments like Gary's and help to
keep the issue alive? You know, like "he who is without
sin?"
NEW BY SLADE:
Those who use this
comment are generally those who do not want to be made accountable for their
sin. I'm glad this is not your
motivation.
judy: Jesus Himself is the one who used
this comment and he was speaking to some religious people who wanted an
adulterous woman to publicly pay for her sin. Today the Holy Spirit is the one
who "convicts of sin" though there are some who think they should help
Him along and are always ready with the
stones...
jt: So it does not bother
you if sweet and bitter water come from the same
fountain?
NEW BY SLADE: In my opinion, you are mixing
issues. I think biting sarcasm (that you see me do as well at times),
refusal to admit wrong and move on, hated for the brethren, calling
brethren names, condemning brethren to the lake of fire with our mouths
or the voice in our head, etc., are the bitter waters.... NOT THE
OCCASIONAL WEAR WORD. The HEART dear, is the fountain... not the
mouth. The mouth is merely a port for the water to
drip.
Judy: I'm well aware of the source of the fountain
and what it is that "defiles" the man/woman so I wouldn't agree with you about
swearing whether many or few - it indicates a problem with anger and the anger
of man will not produce the righteousness of
God.
jt: Excuse me? I have
publicly repented/apologized to people on this list and I have dealt with
my own heart before the Lord. Do you need something special Slade? I'm sorry
that this does not measure up to your standard. Will you forgive
me?
NEW BY SLADE: See
below
jt: The late Finis Dake was
not a theologian and what I quoted was truth no matter where it came
from. But Truth appears only a minor issue here some seem to be much more
interested in nit picking.
NEW BY SLADE: What you quoted was
one man's opinion that you agree with. Who cares? What
Jonathan or anyone else quotes they perceive to be true as
well (or it amplifies a point they're trying to make).
There's nothing wrong with that. We have people on this group who spent hours
writing drippy commentaries on Bush. That's not Scripture... where was your
rebuke for being outside Scripture then? I resisted getting into the political
foray as much as
possible.
Judy: What I quoted were one man's list of scriptures
that supported what I already believed. Who cares? A lot of people
because this discussion is constantly fuelled and just seems to go on and on
and on. There are people who like to talk about going on vacation which
is outside of scripture - and others who share lessons learned from life which
edify.
jt: What I meant to convey is
that if we are going to major on talking about truth we would be better off to
stay with Scripture; as for the Pharisees, Jesus called them
hypocrites so I am in agreement with the Master. They put loads on
other people that they weren't willing to carry themselves and
I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't some of the Pharisee spirit here
right now.
NEW BY SLADE: Major??? A
rhetorical question because only you and Bill (and perhaps DavidM because I
bet he's got quite a library) are able to answer: How much of your arguments
originate from Dake's writings? Yes. I agree with the Master as
well. You defined yourself, thus proving you are still unrepentant. The
"Pharisee Spirit" reflects on the computer screen in Judy Taylor's home. Look,
Judy... do you see your reflection?
Judy: Defined myself as what? So
I am a liar and deceitful as well as a hypocrite? I don't receive any of that
and Slade if I were you I would begin letting God be God in the lives of
His people. We don't need another Holy Spirit or another
'inquisition'.
jt: Then why do you keep doing so and delving
into all the details again when you do it?
NEW BY
SLADE: I haven't, I don't wish to, but I can....... I don't want to because
the last time I did, I think I unduly embarrassed one whom I lover
dearly!
Judy: How
sad there is just one...
jt:
What does God want with it Slade? My you have a back
handed way of wishing me the best in life - Like nothing I say makes a
dent in whatever you have already concluded concerning me. But Oh
well, all I can say is that I am so glad God does not hold
grudges.
NEW BY SLADE: No back hand given,
Judy. I'm only telling you how I understand it. Your right, however,
G-d holds no grudges, but he may stop your "spiritual" growth until you
learn the current lesson. That would be
tragic.
Judy: Why tragic? It goes on all
the time in the lives of everyone, we keep going round and round the mountain
until we deal with the sin issues in our lives and I'm sure I am not the ONLY
one who has them. Although from the reaction to this issue by some here I
wonder.
jt: P.S. I asked a question
about the two messages that went astray Slade - up front and out in the open,
giving you the opportunity to respond in kind...
NEW BY SLADE:
I did respond. See the attached
email.
Judy: I see it, a new
accusation.
