And some have a religious spirit that gets pretty upset when you talk about righteousness. I have noticed such in many encounters on the street.

I disagree, John. The worst sinners of Jesus day were convinced that Jesus
was a sinner. That's why they killed him as a criminal.
Most sinners believe everyone else is a sinner, and anyone who would claim
otherwise is a liar and arrogant and a worse sinner than they are. This is
exactly the attitude they took toward Jesus and his disciples.
