First of all, the situation with Jesus has nothing to do with our disagreement. He was perfect and I accept this through faith, based upon the testimony of those who knew Him and the revelations that comes from the Spirit of God.

I do not recall Jesus claiming to be "perfect."   No one criticized Jesus for that claim  --  rather for the claim to (for example ) be the Son of God, making Himself equal to God.

Our dispute on this issue is about present-day disciples claiming to have the Power to live a life that  finds them actually perfect in terms of what they do and think.   I reject that  claim.  I care not to make this point of disagreement larger than that.

I disagree, John. The worst sinners of Jesus day were convinced that Jesus
was a sinner. That's why they killed him as a criminal.

Most sinners believe everyone else is a sinner, and anyone who would claim
otherwise is a liar and arrogant and a worse sinner than they are. This is
exactly the attitude they took toward Jesus and his disciples.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
