The solution must be easy and comfortable to handle, i.e. there should be a
side by side display of the changes and the already translated text.

The current handling of website translation is not optimal, because you are
loosing often the old translation, which could often just be adapted.
Currently you have to retranslate/copy old translations, when there are changes.

The easier the handling, the more up-to-date translations will be, otherwise
they tend to be unmaintained.
