This would be absolutely GREAT!

I agree 100% here. +1 (as you guys like to put things).
This way, a total beginner could see a real example working
with Turbine, and understand how all the pieces fit. It would
be even more useful to have a short tutorial-like text
that explained the sample application, with sections like:
1. This is a sample app that shows a catalog of tropical
fish (like one of the Delphi sample apps); see how it works.
2. Now, did you notice the layout? See file foo.xml and you will
understand how it was done.
3. The data for the app is stored on a MySQL DB (but it could
really be mostly any DB). Run the scripts bilbo.sql and frodo.sql
to show the contents of the DB, and you will understand how
the data is stored.
4. Did you notice that the sample app supports multiple users?
That is controlled from files bar.xml and baz.sql (whatever).
5. Perhaps you would like to add functionality to the app?
For those purposes, the description of each fish is stored
in multiple languages in the DB. We will show you how to
add a language selection capability to the app. See files
bifur.xml, bofur.xml and bombur.xml.
6. etc.

If I can help in any way, please let me know. My knowledge of
Turbine is at a very frustrating level right now: I know enough
to know it could be very useful, but not enough to get started
on my own.
