Well the problem is that you don't know which version of the docs you
are reading. Ok the info is in the url (2.0/docs vs 2.1/docs), but
personnaly I don't notice the url. That's why it tooked me some time
to understand why there were two different templates. In the meantime
it feels like the documentation is a mess; sorry for that but that's
what I felt. In the django docs for example, there is a big fat
reminder on top off every page, telling you which  version of the doc
you are browsing, and there is also a reminder of that on the side
bar. So to say that in my opinion highlighting the version info would
very helpful, especially for new users.
