Pedegars, please reread what Pgage just wrote to you, as you appear to have ignored it completely. On nearly every level, you have misinterpreted the words, thoughts, and actions of all involved, and you seem reluctant (or incapable) of cogent debate. Since you have fixated on Letterman being an anti-Palin sexist despite a lack of evidence, there is no point in anyone trying to challenge your opinions. I enjoy a spirited debate, as evidenced in multiple threads on this message board, but this isn't spirited, nor is it a debate. A true debate exists when two or more disagree, one states an argument and its support, others listen to and respond with their own arguments and supports. You have not listened, nor have you offered support. You latched onto one insignificant event, distorted it entirely, and conjured up your own conclusion based on that distortion. You've introduced a series of straw-man arguments into the equation, when no analogies were necessary. If others on the list who agree with you wish to respond on your behalf with a lucid, reasoned explanation of, for lack of a better phrase, your point-of-view, this debate can resume. Otherwise, we'll all see each other again in conversations about other topics where we may or may not agree. And when that happens, hopefully we can go about it in a more well-reasoned manner. -- Kevin M. (RPCV) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
