Ah, I see, the problem is that you did not really pay much attention to the recent presidential election, nor have you seen Bristol on her recent media tour. Bristol was not merely brought out after a speech to wave at the audience, she was an integral part of the campaign - and her pregnancy and how she was dealing with it was specifically a part of it (and her pregnancy and teen pregnancy in general was the focus of her recent media tour). If you review the archival information I think you will notice a difference between Malia Obama and Bristol Palin. And one of them is 18. Chelsea Clinton, when her father was President, was hardly ever in the public eye.
