To back up what both Wesley and PGage have said: * This is highly abnormal for Letterman to do, which adds a significant amount of depth to it. Letterman tends not to yield to the suits (if at all).
* The scenario in which the LSWDL staff did not know which daughter was at the ballpark is a plausible one, and one that gives me believe that the alledged maliciousness was not existant. * It is, contrary to Kevin outrage, possible for someone to not apologize, then decide to apologize after a different and previously unseen view is presented to them. As for pedegar's comment about never leaving the private life: I have club level season tickets for Michigan Hockey. As part of that, I have to make an annual contribution to the athletic department. The moment I made that donation, I became a booster in the eyes of the NCAA. And I can never shed that label, even if I stop giving money, never attend another hockey game, or even slap Ohio State stickers on my car. That, effectively, is the Faustian Bargain you make when you take that leap.
