For the record, US soap operas and Spanish telanovelas make HUGE
amounts of cash internationally. They are also dirt cheap to produce
(in some cases cheaper than reality TV). To me, the cancellation of
the soaps indicates the near-collapse of the network as a viable
entity. And I welcome that.
