The Daytime Emmys are already time buys from the producers (some guys who used to work for Dick Clark, IIRC) where they're selling the ads, not the network. In one of those years, the Emmycast was on The CW, which had exactly one hour of first-run daytime programs daily (along with the 4Kids time buy on Saturday mornings)--now, after Tyra ended her show, they have none (technically, they have one hour, but it's a rerun of Tyra and a Warner Bros. Television time buy). It would almost seem prudent for NATAS to trim the whole daytime awards down to just untelevised awards for children's programming. -- TV or Not TV ....
