I am a fan of movie musicals, but have only had the chance to see a few
stage versions. I can think of several that I would like to see done on TV
- Guys and Dolls, as has been mentioned, is almost idiot proof, as Brando
proved; Fiddler is a winner, though more easily spoiled by a bad
production, and West Side Story. I guess we had a Music Man some years ago,
but it was not done live.

All that so I can say this though: I hate, hate, hate Annie, which set
musicals back about 100 years.
