I'm presuming that this week of shows will be a little oddball in general because of where the show is airing (12M E instead of 11:35); this presumably this requires some reshuffling of the segment order. I doubt that on a normal night they'd have gone from the first break into the Will Smith 'history of dance segment', then directly into the U2 performance (I'm assuming U2 was pre tape and aired in that spot so NBC could catch people turning away from Dave/OtherJimmy).
I'm content to believe that the NY-based guests (Colbert, etc.) will be saved as 'safety' guests when they don't have something outright to promote, like a book or movie.
