No, Skitch and Doc were the bandleaders of the NBC Orchestra. The name didn't become "The Tonight Show Band" until Leno and Branford took over in 1992. So while the "Tonight Show" name is 60 years old, the "Tonight Show Band" name only lasted 22 years. And Jay didn't sing "Friends in Low Places." He clapped along. ;-) -Tim -- -- TV or Not TV ....
