I'm not really sure there is any point in debating it with you -- I am a Fallon 
fan and you are clearly not -- but I would certainly say that the time that 
Fallon has put into both SNL and Late Night (where I think he has done an 
excellent job) puts him far ahead of where Conan, Ferguson, Jon Stewart, Kimmel 
or Colbert were when they were given their late night shows.  You can argue 
that none of those were the Tonight Show, but I would even say that Fallon has 
"demonstrated" as much as Conan did when he took over five years ago.

But I will also admit that the 'legacy of the Tonight Show' aspect of these 
debates is one that is not very interesting to me.  I just want a funny show, 
and for my tastes Fallon delivers more often than not.
