It didn't stop completely. Ben Affleck was on Colbert's Late Show and
mentioned that it was his first time there as a guest. Someone in
alt.fan.letterman asked if that really was the case. It was and a former
producer (some staff joined the group after Dave's show went off the air)
said they were told Affleck was Leno's guest.
