Well, tonight the Late Show mentioned taping two shows on Thursdays during the
cold open, an Aaron Sorkin style monologue in the LSSC offices taped after the
NYT story broke Thursday night about what DJT almost did last summer.
There was no repeated interview tonight, though my DVR had Deon Cole (comedian,
black-ish, Angie Tribeca, former Conan writer) listed as a guest earlier in the
week.

This is the second week in a row that The Late Show has repeated an
interview on a Friday show. Last week it was a second go for Fire and Fury
author Michael Wolff, who had appeared earlier that week. Tonight it's
comedian and Crashing star Pete Holmes, a repeat from January 10.
The annoyance for me comes from the show making no indication that the
interview had aired before. And yes, the show has reaired interview footage
before, but it has typically called it out and in some cases included material
that wasn't aired the first time around. These last two instances had no new
material, AFAIK.
