I have the same issue on multiple machines (with very diverse hardware, so it doesn't seem to be hardware related)!
I attached a photo of the boot messages of one of the machines. The errors for `ps` and `realpath` are a bit suspicious, but they are printed on successful boots when rolling back to 6.17.0-5 as well. One additional observation: When hanging in this state, the CPU fan runs on pretty high speed. ** Attachment added: "IMG_5805.jpeg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2129972/+attachment/5922457/+files/IMG_5805.jpeg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2129972 Title: Ubuntu 25.10 can't boot with 6.17.0-6-generic kernel on encrypted fs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2129972/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
