I often say I still can't make my living as a Training Developer strictly using Ubuntu and have to have a Windows partition for my job software. My current solution is a triple flavored machine using Parallels with Mac/Windows/Ubuntu. I still need someone to show me how I can completely transition away from my current tools and still make a living in my current profession. > > . . . > From this stage onwards I was an *actual* linux user, installing in > spare PCs, downloading, finding my way in LUGs and forums. > > To close a deal from cold includes a few processes. Then perhaps we can target some professional or industry specific markets and their publications. Is there one segment (artists/musicians/writers, not developers or comp sci types) where the FOSS tools are ready to for to make the transition easily? I'd add my name/dollars to any effort; especially since Kristian has a pretty good record with his guerilla marketing techniques. ;-) good luck, Belinda -- ubuntu-marketing mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-marketing
