Keith,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "voting members"
and "sponsoring" that is being asked for ?

Fwiw, strictly speaking, there is no UFS group anymore as UFS is
in sustaining mode.

As far as Jan and Milan is concerned that proposed the project,
they are both members of the group that sustains UFS amongst other technologies.

Jan,

I'm not sure about the link to FMA, what is the intent behind this ?
I'd rather have expected a link and presumably an announcement going
to the MDB project/community instead.

Hi all,

Even though the project got seconded, can I got a sponsorship for it?

Thank you
Jan

I would like to propose a new project:

Synopsis: ufs-ondisk

Sponsoring comunities: UFS http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/ufs <http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/fm/>

We'd like to get this set up as soon as possible; I have only one
question: have these Groups agreed to sponsor your project, or are you
saying that you would like them to? If they already have, we can
proceed - and a note for the future: the announcement request should
really come from the Group. If they haven't, please get them to do so
and then you'll be on your way. I'm a bit curious how the UFS Group
could possibly have approved your project, since it has no voting
members.
