Mengo has its own problems –Ben Ziraba

Let us put federalism in Mengo to solve those problems, how about that?

You know it is this stigmatic unreasonable but un scripted reasoning that
collapsed UPC as a party in Uganda politics. Direct questions are thrown at you
and you become the George Okello that responds with we must get a chance to
blow up EM’s head and Uganda will be better. I have discussed Federalism many
many years from the day WBK advised Mwami Kibuuka to unsubscribe me, for now
under Museveni Mengo is going to lead Buganda and EM is the problem. WBK
himself flew to Uganda to advise on how the country will change to a federal
state. Yet the very same questions I asked then are the same questions I am
asking now. May be it is time it sinks into Ugandans that even if we get the
best Muganda as a president, Uganda will never become a federal state. And
anything else is an illusion at best put. But how about Akim Odong the only
living federalism pastor? Don’t worry about him he has an agenda as all
organizations that registered themselves in Moshi conference.

He needs a chair and he so will get it.

How much has corruption cost Uganda? If federalism can do away with corruption
and corruptibility then that alone will pay for the change and leave a lot of
extra money!

Billions lost in ghost soldiers and other workers.

Billions lost in pension scams.

Billions lost in unneeded military hardware.

Need more billions lost to ponder about?

Mr.Kwitonda,

Do you have any idea how much it will cost the Country to change to a
Federalism form of government? Give me an educated guess if you have never
thought about it in financial terms.

if he can come up with a comprehensive plan and what kind of federal he has,why
not ?Ugandans are yearning for it.he just needs to do some good work about it
and show how regions will benefit and red tapes h is going to do away with.if
he can shoe specifically in these areas like HEALTH, EDUCATION AND
agriculture,he can have it

KATEREGGA, Im happy to know that you are now on board. you have realised that
the unitary monster is taking us nowhere.you have been an advocate of regional
tier which is very difficult to implement and still keeps power at the centre.

Ugandans,

To most, Mbabazi is a tear away from the old "gang" who have failed to deliver
promises and instead exploited Ugandans for their own gains. His recent
declaration is but a gimmick, which should be ignored. In his declaration he
talked of a change in "system of government" without elucidating as to what
that system would be. It is clear he has no idea what he is talking about and
how it would be delivered. Like his rival, they have no clue as to what is good
for Ugandans and simply carried on from their predecessors, with the same
results.

Mbabazi would never be a first choice for Ugandans but in the current state
anything but Museveni would do! Mbabazi needs to re invent himself by
apologising for the exploitation of Ugandans for the last thirty years and
counting and then embrace federalism by acknowledging that the system is broken
and must be damped. This will provide Ugandans with a viable alternative. Other
than, he and his nemesis are birds of the same feather albeit the sound of
Mbabazi's drivel, disregard the substance; is more easy to the ear than the
alternative. Mbabazi has also got to drop his arrogance. With the assertion
that "Ugandans do not know what they" one is reminded of the arrogance with
which they managed to divide people and how the gullible swallowed it "hook,
line and sinker" while singing praises way after the drummer had stopped.

For his sin, Mbabazi, with a working microphone in his hands and still alive,
must start singing the federal message because it is the message that Ugandans
want hear or else, he should follow the rest to the dustbin of history.
