Some time ago I was approached by Allegro, as was, pitching their services.

I had been burnt by two previous suppliers who had ended up being fuelled by
large amounts of investor cash. In both cases the service had changed from
being one that was customer focused to one that was new sales focused,
under the new regime.

In both cases this seemed to permeate from the CEO down and across the
whole organisation. Having done a bit of research I decided not to enter
into any discussions with Allegro.

There seems to be a pattern of change once investors are heavily involved
in growing a business, and so far my anecdotal analysis is that it tends to
be one that is detrimental to service quality.
