In almost all cases, customers associate an STB with linear programming, so when they want to go for VoD, they will either buy something else, or an AppleTV, or a PS4, or an Xbox, or just use the apps that come with smart TV's these days. I know linear broadcasters are trying to spice up their STB's with apps that turn them into streaming boxes, but in the same way Cisco would try to make a microwave, folk are unlikely to bite. Mark.
