That's what I said "if they remain in situ"...

In almost all cases, customers associate an STB with linear programming,
so when they want to go for VoD, they will either buy something else, or
an AppleTV, or a PS4, or an Xbox, or just use the apps that come with
smart TV's these days.

I know linear broadcasters are trying to spice up their STB's with apps
that turn them into streaming boxes, but in the same way Cisco would try
to make a microwave, folk are unlikely to bite.
