I have a 1973 42' double cabin with twin cummins diesels new in 1990. My generator however was the original 1973 Onan MDJE. I have nursed my generator for years but it just had a major and I am sure final problem somewhere in the generating unit. I now have to replace it. It was a 7KW but I have never used more than 4000 watts at any time and it is mounted forward of the port main engine. Any experience with removal and replacement out there? Advice on new Model? Make Size? Thanks. I always valure this groups ideas.
