Hi, Ben. My initial efforts have not been successful...I keep getting
perl dependency issues (e.g., depends on xxx, which cannot be
installed) that I haven't been able to resolve yet (despite many edits
of sources.list). Now this is with AMD64 server. I may try the i386
desktop/server and AMD64 desktop versions to see if their builds are
different enough to enable success.

I should mention that I'm attempting the testing build (6.5.2) of
Slimserver Debian, rather than the stable (6.5.1) version.

I used stable. I went in and changed to testing and upgraded, no problems
at all. Maybe the trick is to use stable first... <shrug>

What do you mean when you say, "By default, Feisty Fawn seems to have
the universe and multiverse repositories enabled, which is a common
stumbling block I think"? That could be taken a couple of different
ways...

The universe/multiverse repositories are required to be enabled for an apt
install to work properly. I believe that in dapper drake this required a
manual (but trivial) configuration step.
