Library scanned successfully!!! And my Squeezebox found the server...for some reason it was going dark, but when I backtracked and fiddled, it was clear it was finding the server...just the "wizard" that seems to have been screwed up.
So I guess the last open question (for now) is how to automound the NAS if/when the Slimserver box is rebooted. I have seen several threads on startup routines for SS, so I'll do some more poking around. Haven't found much in the wiki bearing directly on this, by the way.
