Thank you for the feed-back.

No I "only" need to get 44.1 and 48 kHz files to play fine through USB.
Frankly I don't know why we are having these problems with the lower
resolution files now. 
I think it must be a setting somewhere that is wrong, I don't think that
the problem is the raspberry board, because it seems to be playing 88.2
96 and 192 kHz files fine through the USB.

If anybody has an idea, please chime in.
