I used to run it with -z. I realized it's not needed.

BTW:

If anybody is running systemd and an embedded system.

I do face a challenge to get the SL timestamps right. The systemd sets
the clock via ntpd on e.g. RPi. In my setup squeezelite starts last.

What I find in the debug log: 
During boot squeezlites starts with 00:.... timestamps. 
Than it changes to GMT. 
But it won't change to the actual TZ time later on.
If I start SL manually it picks up the correct system time.

If anybody has an idea, please let me know what I cold  try to get it
right!?!?
