It's easier to just start jivelite from a script which relaunches
jivelite on exit.
You can hide the Quit option, hold the Quit menu item until a popup
window displays, then choose Hide from Home Menu.

Code:
--------------------

  #!/bin/bash
  export JIVE_NOCURSOR=1

  while true; do
  /usr/local/bin/jivelite
  sleep 1
  done

--------------------

export JIVE_NOCURSOR=1

Before you start jivelite will prevent the cursor displaying at all.
