Hey there all,
Just installed the latest pCP and some extensions on my pi3! I was hoping to simply connect the 3.5mm jack to an 'aux in' and use pCP as a Bluetooth audio and airplay receiver. Shairport works amazingly well but I can't get any sound through bluetooth - though the pairing, connection and music playing on the device side seems to function perfectly. The first thing I tried was only Bluetooth - both using the internal and an external adapter. I tried connecting with both my phone and computer - both succeed in connecting and all Bluetooth indicators are green. However no sound is coming through the jack as expected. Everything else looks like it works - my phone and computer behave as if they are successfully connected to a Bluetooth speaker but there is no sound. I retried from scratch with no tweaks and had the same experience. > > pCP Bluetooth extension build:0005 > Starting BT Controller > USB Bluetooth Hardware Address: XXXXXXXXXXXXX > Starting pCP BT Pairing Agent > BT Controller Ready > 03-31 02:26 INFO ------------Starting pCP BT Speaker Daemon > v6.0.0.0005------------ > 03-31 02:26 INFO Resetting asound.conf. > 03-31 02:26 INFO Removing bt_ from asound.conf > 03-31 02:26 INFO Current contents of > /usr/local/etc/pcp/pcp-bt.conf. > 03-31 02:26 INFO XXXXXXXXXXXXXX#Phone#10000 > 03-31 02:26 INFO 04:D3:B0:63:80:2A#Computer#10000 > 03-31 02:26 INFO Starting connection signal handlers. > 03-31 02:31 INFO ---- Caught Connect signal ---- > 03-31 02:31 INFO MAC:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX > 03-31 02:31 INFO PROFILE:a2dp > 03-31 02:31 INFO Modes:sink > 03-31 02:31 INFO Writing device string for Computer for > pcp-streamer > > So despite that failure, I tried installing the shairport tweak anyway and I was able to connect and sound played through the 3.5mm jack perfectly instantly. QUESTIONS: 1. Can anyone say what's happening with the Bluetooth side - any steps to make it work on the last step? 2. Assuming Bluetooth works, can both Bluetooth and airplay work at the same time or are they drastically incompatible? Thanks for any help ------------------------------------------------------------------------ noobity's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70003 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111787 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
