Sounds like you took the System Suitcase from the System Folder of 
the CD itself, right? What you need to do is extract the System 
Suitcase from the Installation Tome inside the Installer Files in the 
CD. You need Tome Viewer to do this. Launch it, then navigate to the 
various Installation Tomes until you find the one that contains the 
System file. Then expand that in your system folder.

Keep the 9.2 Finder. I use that with the 9.1 System suitcase on my 
8500. It works like a charm and is noticeably faster.
