Hello, I installed OS 10.1 successfully on an external drive on my PowerMac 8500. I installed OS 9.2.1 on Classic in OS 10.1. However, when I tried to reopen on my internal drive which has OS 9.1 on it, I found that OS 9.2.1 was now installed there, where it was not supposed to be. Therefore, I could not open my internal drive. I've received lots of help from many of you, but nothing has resolved the problem. The one suggestion I received which might do the trick is to use my OS 9.1 CD and replace the system suitcase. I tried that by taking out the system suitcase from my OS 9.1 folder and replacing it with the one from OS 9.1 CD. However, when I tried to restart I get a message that the system suitcase will only work in its original location and can't be copied onto another system. How do I get around this? Thanks for your time.
