Fair point but there was nothing stopping you doing what I did. I 
utilised the 7300 as a 7300 with OS 9.1 and saved money for a new 
machine. When the 7300 got to dog-eared and slow for me I bought a G3. 
I just happened to have about �400 saved at the time.
