You won't be able to use a serial cable to communicate with the printer directly. OS X doesn't see it. If your MacSense router has a parallel port on it, try hooking up a parallel cable from the router to the printer. You may be able to borrow one, but they should be otherwise easy to come by. If not, um, I don't know what to say. Your printer IS supported by GIMP print. You need it to take advantage of the CUPS package built into Jaguar. Are there any other ports on your HP printer- ethernet by chance ? -Ford -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
