I've been quiet on this list for quite a while (although I occasionally
keep track of upgrades to the IRIX version, thanks so much for
maintinaing that!, but I don't really use it), because I have two
little kids, and they take up almost all of my spare time. The
small remainder is taken up by my wife :) and my new hobby, that
is medium format photography. So making renderings with real,
instead of simulated light.

I'm really envious that your child can sleep 5 hours at a time,
our little daughter will rarely sleep for more than 3 hours at a
time, and she's already 8 months old. Her big brother sleeps 10
hours, but then, he'll be three years old in August.

Maybe one day I'll also find the time to render virtual stuff again.
You learn a lot about lighting etc. when doing photography, and
why and when focal blur (aka "bokeh") is especially important.

Keep rendering, and take the occasional look at the real world!

Cheers,
