Hi,

Yes I've been too busy, I just had two days of 13 hours each, editing on 3D/photoshop visuals. Slowly getting very tired..... ;) I'll show them within a few weeks, at the moment they are extremely confidential. Dutch Railways are planning to replace all the furniture on their platforms. The images I'm working on will be used for a survey to check public opinion about the plans they have chosen.

Hi Arjo,
Sounds like a great assignment, can't wait to see it!
Beware of RSI, it can creap up when working so hard...

Yes in a way it's a nice assignment, but on the other hand 18 images is a bit too much. I've got a very good protection against RSI. I start every morning with half an hour Tai Chi. That has shown to be very helpful :)

Anyway, I've used AO in the latest image I showed on the forum (the image with the wobbly reflecting building). I did try to post a detail example to this list, but the message didn't come through. Probably too big attachment. I use AO in a rather subtle way though. Just to darken some edges/corners. So I render AO in a separate pass to mix it afterwards in Photoshop. Speed has been increased a lot indeed. I'll create a little tut in the near future.

Arjo.

I guess you are referring to

Your city is growing and growing... impressive image, it would be interesting to compare it with a non-AO version.
Yes that's the one I was referring to. Comparing AO/non AO shows best in detailed image. Next week I'll come back to it.
Nice self-portrait too!
Thanks!
I was already working on an character animation, but I've to pick it up again.
