Well , the obvious answer is to use any advanced maps
as .bmp's .

I guess that's why you lost me , since you already said you
have done it for a ceiling .

As it is right now anything that requires postprocessing in
RS must be 'baked' , and 'baked' via a hard image for OGL use.

 For a simple wall :

1) Create a VSL texture for the wall - turn on Gi etc
2) Render in parallel mode with camera pointing at the wall
3) Take the render into an image processor and crop
4) Adjust brightness/contrast
5) Save as a .bmp/png etc
6) UV map this image to the wall

There , that's it , and as you said earlier , it's done by
hand and it's a lot of work , but that's how it's done at
this point in time .

As I said earlier , previous versions of RS would do this
for you , so I'm assuming we still can ... I'll install an
older version and see if the tutorial is still there in the
older version's manual .

I've done the tute (in V4.5 I think) and it worked , RS
created the maps as .bmp's on your drive , but they still
needed some further processing in PSP etc to make them
presentable(maybe my quality setting in RS was too small)

Very cool , perhaps there's something in the water ? (grin)
