I fully agree. But my own case might be worth factoring in here ...

I am lucky in that time issues are usually not as important in my studio as
getting the result I want. And I usually end up with massive project file
sizes and totally curious lighting and materials (I cant help myself). Quite
often I will have half hour test renders for even 2,000 x 2000 pixel image
sizes. In some instances several hours. I run two machines of course so
production is not totally lost.

not an issue.


That's true to a certain extent. But it can be quite annoying when you
have
to make test renders and you have to wait several minutes each time, even
