Aaargh, even within one package there is that risk, remember pre-V4
RPL... I invested countless hours in that and then it was obsolete.
Ok, it was necessary for progress and I had a lot of fun ;)
An admirable decision to make Combadz open source, I hope people will
pick it up!

Investing time in a software that is not open source is dangerous.
You get used to a software and one day it will be gone.
It happened to all the software that I loved : TrueSpace, Imagine,
Silo 3D, Aladdin 4D and now RS.
That is why I decided to make CombadZ open source, to make sure that
it could survive without me.

Thanks for the links, too bad this Renderman compatibility isn't
going to happen for Blender or RS...
Maybe it would be a good thing if RS went open source, better than
this not-quite-dead limbo state, and the Meskanens start improving
Blender (paid work) ;)
Blender could use/learn so much from RS: get more object-oriented,
interface and workflow improvements, true CSG etc etc!
grtz,
