Is RH70 still on 1.3.12? Anyhow, what version MySQL? Further testing on my system shows that the midgard and the mysql extansion bomb out at exactly the same spot, somewhere during the dlopen. I mentioned pthreads earlier because strace shows something opening libpthread. I'm still looking for a reference that explains why dlopening (something related to) mysql is a problem. We've had this before, and it involved pthreads then. Does someone remember?
