If it doesn't work (and I started this whole thing with a datagard install) play with it until it does, if it still doesn't work throw your computer out the window :-) I will try datagard once more, but I have never had much luck with it even on a completely fresh system from scratch without any meddling from me. Maybe its me (I have an innate ability to break software - I was employed for it once) or maybe it's the Gentoo layout of my system. > P.S. I did not notice midgard-apache module loaded anywhere. Its loaded in the apache.conf file otherwise nothing would work and apache would throw up errors and not start at all. Anyway cheers for the ongoing help. Will try a completely clean install using datagard and see what happens, otherwise I will stick to 1.6.1 and apache 1 until I can figure out whats going on.
