"If You need and want to create a virtual host, answer "yes". This is
important. If you say "no", midgard-data won't update your database to be
ready to use with the Apache server, and you will be forced to update your
database manually."

I was never given the option as datagard crashed out on a package failure.
Is there any way to run this bit specifically?

Mike.

Subject: RE: [midgard-user] Upgrade to 1.6.2

System is completely blank (restored from a ghost CD for a fresh install) so
not apache configs or midgard files, blobs, cache files and db files.

Apache 2.0.52, php 4.3.10 and mysql 4.0.22 have been installed (gentoo use
flag mpm_prefork in use).

Installed as per instructions - no problems

Run datagard - datagard runs without problems until it gets to package
midcom-example_multilang.xml.gz - REPLIGARD/READ-CRITICAL **: Failed to
allocate delayed resource 3255ca035c9ec5f38409622b8a78cf58 as a link oid for
record_extension ().

Re-run datagard and tried to import this package on its own - same error

Re-run datagard and selected all remaining packages to continue install
Midcom_multilang.xml.gz - REPLIGARD/READ-CRITICAL **: Failed to allocate
delayed resource 02650d1e212fbc0124bbfe30366dac1e as a link oid for
record_extension ().

Re-run datagard and tried to import this package on its own - same error

Re-run datagard and selected all remaining packages to continue install - no
further problems.

Re-run datagard and added vhost development.web:8080 - screen says "Listen
8080" at the bottom and datagard exits.

Started apache 2 - no problems

Using firefox to display http://development.web:8080 - failed - displays
root file index. Further investigation shows that in mysql, under the newly
created midgard database, the host table is completely empty. Other tables
have been populated though.

Apache 2 log reports:

Using datagard attempted to create a 'normal' web address - www.leeds.nhs.uk
- datagard says "Listen 80" at the bottom then exits. Host table still
blank in midgard database.

This is exactly what happened when I tried to use datagard when it was first
available. The configuration I have (that is all over the place) is based
on months of fiddling - the live servers have a completely clean
configuration based on the original manual before datagard.

What info do you need to continue?

Cheers

Mike.

Please, stay with 1.6.2.
When setup is done ( and you are sure there is no additional stuff added by
you )
and something is wrong , set apache log level to debug and send output.

I use 1.6.2 since release day and noticed this relase as seagfaultless.
I use it with Apache 1 and Apache 2.
