Dear All, I am a long time user of biomaRt who do not have much experience with other form of data extraction from Biomart. I am aware that with the shift to Biomart 0.8 biomaRt and Perl API cannot use the 0.8 version.
Would that mean that right now when I use biomaRt I will not get the latest data? Secondly I am working on widnows machine and linux server. Is there a way to install the newest java distribution of Biomart 0.8 and somehow feed the parameters throught the command line? I was developing a software that utilises biomaRt data extraction but now I am not sure if I should continue my work on this part. Thanks for your help. Tom
