Hi Max,

thank's a lot for the preview, nice to see it in action! Unfortunately I am on a Mac, and while the build works, it is quite buggy (beta2- based, right? The m3 snapshot has come quite a way since then on the Mac).

So I had the pleasure of seeing the colors, but I can't seriously "play" with it :), as there are quite a few apparently mac-sepecific problems in the SQL-Editor. (You can't use an accent grave without trouble (still in m3), you can't select wordwise with the keyboard (still in m3) and when you switch off the program very offten crashes rather than closes (that's a lot better in m3)).

Therefore I it's of little use to do substantial testing, I guess. On the Mac red appears as the standard-color, interpunctuation is black and keywords are blue. Bracket-matching doesn't work - hmm, I am not entirely sure how it should work, but I can neither block from one bracket to its counterpart nor is there any visual indication when I 'cross' the bracket with the cursor. If I try to double-click a bracket a quite remote word in the screen gets blocked. (this is not so in the m3 Mac build - so there might be some interference with your bracket-matching). So I assume Mac is not the best plattform to do testing for the time being, right?

Best
Rainer

PS: if at some later stage you have a new mac build and want somebody to check it out I'll be happy to try it out and give some feedback.

if you want to play with it(read: not in production use), here are developer snapshots for mac and linux:

http://termite.go-oo.org/install_sets/O3-build-50-sqlsyntaxhighlighting-install_set.zip

I'm confident to get this in OOo 3.1, it includes:

- syntax highlighting
- bracket matching
- font and font size configurable

Configurable colors will come in the next version, as Frank pointed out.

Best regards
Max

PS: Frank: Max instead of Maximilian is enough, otherwise I think you are angry at me ;-)
