Very interesting...

What are the common things that I do that seem to require Macros or some sort of complicated work.

*** Storing and extracting a binary file

I have a database that tracks things that I purchase with an image of the receipt. I need to select and store the graphic. I save the file name in another field so that I can store the file when I am finished. Without the file name, I do not know the file extension and other items when it is time to extract and save the file back to the file system.

I typically add a button that calls a macro. The macro opens a file selection dialog, accepts a selection, stores the file name and the data to the database. This just feels complicated.
