Josh, I just finally tried the instruction and spend a bit of time on it to refresh screenshots. [1] Your changes were ok and I've almost didn't touch them. My build and screenshot are based on Nightly build. I was not able to build DataBindingExample using FlexJS 0.8.0 [2].
I decided do not invest time to figure out what has happened, cause with nightly it just worked. I had to use in additional compiler arguments "-allow-subclass-overrides=true", without it DataBindingExample failed with [3]. We need release 0.8.1 soon.
