Hey list,

I just switched over to Fedora 44 (from Arch) and I’ve found just one problem that I can’t solve on my own:

My keyboard is connected to a Thunderbolt dock (Lenovo 40AN). I’m using a ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 (Intel), and it seems I can’t adjust the Thunderbolt security level in the UEFI. The dock isn’t authorized during the boot process, when I have to enter the LUKS password, according to this page: https://www.guyrutenberg.com/2026/03/04/usb-keyboard-not-working-in-dracut-when-connected-via-thunderbolt-dock/

Connecting the keyboard directly to USB is a workaround, but it would be nicer if it just worked right away.

Does anyone here have a tip for me?

Thanks and cheers, Tobi
