Dear Open Office,

I have fallen in love with the software :) however, since I was trying to use
it to build a website, I have a question about one aspect of it.

I would like to ask if I have done something wrong, I programmed a push button
to access one of my test pages, and on the same page I put a text link.

The link works fine, but the button works when I open the page in Open Office,
but not when I open it with Internet Explorer 6.

Here is the text of the page that Open office generated:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML>
<HEAD>
 <META HTTP-EQUIV="CONTENT-TYPE" CONTENT="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
 <TITLE></TITLE>
 <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="OpenOffice.org 1.1.4  (Win32)">
 <META NAME="CREATED" CONTENT="20050329;17175375">
 <META NAME="CHANGED" CONTENT="20050329;17303293">
</HEAD>
<BODY LANG="en-US" DIR="LTR">
<P><A HREF="../../head.mht" NAME="Link1" TARGET="_top">Recent Columns</A></P>
<FORM NAME="Standard">
 <P><INPUT TYPE=BUTTON NAME="PushButton" VALUE="Recent Columns"></P>
</FORM>
</BODY>
</HTML>

can you please tell me what I did wrong with the button, why it won't open the
document in IE6, and if you could, please respond to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Use an actual HTML editor. OOo can do simple things well, but the old saying, use the right tool for the right job comes to mind here.\

I would suggest NVU, or my new favorite HTMLGate Free.
