Three cases now; sounds like it's time to file a bug report. Looking
through the issues for RC1 (OOO300m5)

<http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/buglist.cgi?issue_type=DEFECT&issue_type=ENHANCEMENT&issue_type=FEATURE&issue_type=PATCH&issue_status=UNCONFIRMED&issue_status=NEW&issue_status=STARTED&issue_status=REOPENED&issue_status=RESOLVED&version=OOO300m5&email1=&emailtype1=exact&emailassigned_to1=1&email2=&emailtype2=exact&emailreporter2=1&issueidtype=include&issue_id=&changedin=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=&chfieldvalue=&short_desc=&short_desc_type=allwords&long_desc=&long_desc_type=allwords&issue_file_loc=&issue_file_loc_type=fulltext&status_whiteboard=&status_whiteboard_type=fulltext&keywords=&keywords_type=anytokens&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=&cmdtype=doit&order=%27Importance%27&Submit+query=Submit+query>

I find one that seems to be similar but doesn't have much in the way of
details:

http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93693
[First Time User fails if you don't register]

Perhaps you guy's can tag onto that bug, but I think it would be better
to open a new issue - maybe with the 'OO 3 rc1 install/setup freeze'
subject. To report the issue, look at
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93693
and note the:
Version: OOO300m5
Component: framework
Subcomponent: ui
and I think that will get the issue into the proper group/section for
this RC1 version.

I'll try to replicate on a WinXPPro SP3 system (I've not been able to so
far). Unfortunately I'm much better at troubleshooting linux so I'll
need to figure out how to do an 'strace' in the Windows world to find
where it's hanging.
